Connect

We are living in a time of constant change, and extreme quickening.  I see more and more clients that are suffering from feeling disconnected within themselves, their relationships and work.

Technology is vastly advancing and so is social media. Both can be seen and used as pluses and minuses in today’s society.  The way we see ourselves and others is also changing and so is the way we communicate.  Dating is slowly becoming a thing of the past. There seems to be fear that arises with the word “commitment”, and of settling down with someone and missing out on “something bigger and better”. On occasions, I have sat in cafes and people-watched, observing couples across from each other on their mobile phones.  I am sure if they stepped outside their physical bodies and could see what I was seeing, they would reassess what they were doing to avoid the outcomes that I could foresee.

More and more people are suffering anxiety and depression, sleep deprivation, a lack of self-love, as well as the increase likelihood of cancer. We are placing so much stress and pressure on ourselves, how we look, what will people think of us and how many likes we have.

My advice to you is to keep life simple, bring it back to basics, it’s about balance, look beyond the physical. See the beauty within self and others, connect with nature, breathe, awaken your heart, allow yourself to feel love and to love again. We are all here for the teaching experience.  Remember stress is a choice, so is peace.  Set yourself free from your phones when you are in the presence of another, value yourself and your sacred space.
